​ 10/12/2009 Christina is thankful for her food, books, TV, computer, bracelets, hairbands, nice teachers, clothes, money, friends, pencils, diaries, posters, and dance.

​ 11/25/2009 Yesterday, me and my class went to Willowgrove Farm. When we got on the bus, me and 0001 got a seat next to each other. We played Slide, Chopsticks, Tic-Tac-Toe, and talked. It was drizzling when we got there. We walked to a cabin, a small one, with lots of tables in it. It was really loud. We didn't even see the woman that came into the room. So to get our attention, she made a sound like whoo hoo hoo hoo hoo. She talked a little and we went to the Pioneer Room.

Me, 0011, 0002, 0001 sat at the same table on the same side. 0048 told us about pioneers and how to do all the pioneer activities. They were washing real clothes with a scrubboard, carding sheep wool, carrying a yoke, tying a rag rug, grinding corn and apples, playing pioneer games, making a corn husk doll, and helping dip a fat red candle. You keep doing an activity until you're bored, or others tell you they want a turn and that you're hogging that activity.

When we got into the barn we were allowed to feed the sheep with grinded apples. I was too scared, so I dropped it on the hay and one of the sheep ate it on the hay. 0049 was feeding one of the sheep with her palm open and it bit her. But it was a very small bite, and she wasn't crying, so it was okay. There was also a donkey and rooster or two. 0048 told us that one time the sheep were out eating and coyotes came. But the donkey couldn't defend the sheep anymore because she (or he) was getting old, so the coyotes bit the sheep. But the sheep were okay since they got to the veterinarian in time.

After that we got to go to the hayloft and play! It was so fun! There were tire swings, a slide, a rope, and climbing tires. For lunch, I had two cheese sandwiches. Then we jogged to a campfire and there were logs. I didn't sit because the logs were damp. We all got hot chocolate in smiley face cups. We also got to sing songs and shake bells. I had to share a bell with 0001.

Then 0047 told us we would be doing the Christmas play. I played one of the three shepherds. 0001 and 0041 were the other shepherds. 0051 was Joseph, and 0052 was Mary. The wise men were 0011, 0026, and 0053. 0002 and 0054 were the head angels and everybody else was the choir of angels. We had lots of fun acting it out. The last activity was making pinecone birdfeeders and candles. On the bus back, I sat with 0002. ​

​ 03/12/2010 This March Break, I went to skiing class at Earl Bales Ski & Snowboard Centre. I went there from 1:00 to 4:00. There were five hills. I think. My group got to go on all of them except the hardest ones. My favourite hill was the main hill. It was as big as the hardest hills, except the hardest hills were harder because one was steeper and the other was freestyle. We had one or two breaks.

There was also a lift. After we skied off my favourite hill, we skied to the line for the lift and we all had partners to sit with. When we got off, we skied down a small hill. If we didn't get off the lift, we would be back to the front of the line on the lift and in trouble. I hope I go again.
