09/06/2011 1st day of post-summer camp. The government are still checking the school site. At PS camp, 0067 hit a lot of people and threw a book at Mrs. 0068, and 0069 was chasing 0028 and I, (the only Gr. 5s) and trying to kiss and hug and do weird things. 0025 wasn't on MSN today.

​ 09/09/2011 So today – what a day! School ceremony was fun. I'm going to be in Mrs. 0066's class. Next week Thursday I'm going to a new dance place – Toronto Dance Industry. I'll have lots of fun.

​ 09/13/2011 Today I think I really made a difference. At childcare I coloured a Dora pic, and made her look really cool. Shortly after that, a lot of other people started trying my idea. I feel great, even though it's just a small thing. ​

09/16/2011 Today I went to 0019, 0020, and 0021's house to play Mahjong. We also had a "concert." Kind of tired now... ​

09/23/2011 Today was all rainy which meant that I couldn't run laps with 0065, 0061, 0028, and 0027. And next year, 0061 might not even come back. She might go to SAN FRANCISCO! TO LIVE! FOREVER! Seriously, what are we going to do? We already lost 0001. ​

09/24/2011 Dance class today. Next week 0073 says we're learning buffalos! Finally something a bit harder. Can't wait for next week! Practice for cross-country tryouts. ​

09/25/2011 MSN 0074 + 0075. 0075 is really shy. Glad I got to meet some new people. They seem really cool. Well I made mashed potatoes with mom today. YUM! Tomorrow's lunch... very happy. ​

09/26/2011 Today we practiced 5 laps for cross-country with everyone who wanted to try out and Mr. 0076. Felt really good when I beat 0065, 0028, 0061, and tied 0011. But I'm not sure if I can do that again. ​

09/28/2011 Not to sound like I'm boasting ('cause that would be bad), but I think I'll make it. Mr. 0076 said "good job." Suddenly, 8 laps doesn't seem so bad. I hope 0077 will be at cross-country if I make it. ​

09/29/2011 So tomorrow is cross-country tryouts. Mom says, "Don't be nervous." But it's so hard. What am I going to do? I am scared. I'll pray to God about it. ​

09/30/2011 EEK! I made cross-country! But only 'cause some boys dropped out. So I guess I'll never know if I'm good enough. ​

10/03/2011 We got our Spelling Bee lists today. You know, 0027 might win. I mean, I study every day, but I know 0027 is really good. ​

10/07/2011 Today was Walk-a-thon. It was fun, but I got grass stains on my skinny jeans, and all we did was walk 17 times around the school. No sidewalk. Plus, I'm kind of mad. Today is the only day I didn't study for SPELLING BEE. 0079 might win. Or 0056. Or 0080. ​

10/10/2011 No school. Thanksgiving Monday. Went apple picking with 0025, 0072, 0081, 0082. PS: Walk-a-thon I raised $334. Really happy. ​

10/11/2011 Am studying for Spelling Bee... can't believe cross-country is tomorrow. Really excited, really nervous at the same time. Whoo! Well, I'll tell you how it went tomorrow. ​

10/12/2011 Cross-country! Today! I got 59th. I was right behind 0011. I'm actually happy 'cause it was such a long run. So what if there were 100 people? And 0083 in Gr. 3, 0045's sister, got 1st place! Plus, she wasn't even tired.

​ 10/13/2011 I totally forgot! 0077, 0084, 0004, 0023, and 0085 were at cross-country. And, we don't know the results yet 'cause it rained a bit... Today was 0065's birthday. ​

10/18/2011 Today we got our Bible dramas back. I'm in a play about the "Golden Rule." Well Mom is on the phone with my cousin. 0086, FYI. I haven't seen her since she's in China... and I need to go but I got the 1st award in Français, Best Grammar, and Best Draft Poem. Not to brag. Just happy. ​

10/23/2011 Today was 0028's birthday party. Cooked souffle and yummy pudding, listened to music, painted, had fun.

I'm starting a journal on my laptop. After I finish this one, of course. But from now on, no time. Oh. Mom came back. Oh. I really want an online journal. Private, of course. ​

​ 01/15/2012 When I grow up, I might be an author. If I become an author, I'd write all kinds of books. I would write children's books, which seem the easiest. Chapter books look hard to write because they are mostly over 100 pages, and I cannot imagine typing so much!

I might be part of a marketing communication group in a bank. This means that I'd help design credit cards, flyers, contests, and even help decide which types of fonts to use! I'd have fun at my job and earn enough money to live. My mom works at a bank, so that's how I became interested.

I might be a book critic. This could be an excellent job, because I'd get paid for reading books. It sounds like a glamorous job, but I wouldn't enjoy having to tell some magazine or newspaper what I thought about the book or if the book was very boring. I think becoming a book critic would be difficult, though. A book critic is a great job but I don't think I'd succeed.

I might invent very useful items. I think everyone would love see-through refrigerators. They'd be super-practical, because they would save energy. Instead of opening the fridge, you'd just look through it to scan its contents. For those worried that their fridge is too messy, then a refrigerator screen would be included, it would just roll down. Another helpful idea is starting a bread company. Some bread would be for people who loathe crust, (like me) which is bread without crust. I'd sell all sorts of bread. I'd like to create things that would make our life easier! ​

​ 01/27/2012 Today I went snowboarding and it was my first time. I fell many times but I am still pleased with myself. The funny thing about snowboarding today was that the instructors made us start on the hardest hills first. Actually, the harder hills are supposed to be easier for snowboarding. I got wet several times today, and I bought lunch at the place for skiing and snowboarding, which is called Uplands. The food was really yummy. I ate some fries, candy, and a bagel with cream cheese!

​ 03/11/2012 The Megabus was pretty decent, actually. A few of the lights didn't work, but no one needed them anyway and those who had them turned them off to sleep. The washroom was clean, too. Small, diminutive even, but clean.

At 4:00 am the bus stopped in front of a McDonald's. They woke everybody up by turning the almost-blinding lights on. It was still very dark outside, but we headed to McDonald's. I had a fruit & yogurt parfait. I finished about two thirds because I thought the rest was too cold. Mom let me throw it out, I think partly because she was sick and because we were on vacation.

0013 ate two hash browns. Those were what I wanted to eat in the beginning, but I got sick a few days ago and my mom didn't think they would be good for my throat. When we got back on the bus, I started sleeping. Now it's morning, some people have woken up. I'm in NYC! Going on a taxi soon. ​

​ 03/13/2012 Playing President with 0025, 0072, and 0089. Norwegian Gem Trivia Game with 0025, 0072, and 0089. We only got 5 answers correct, out of 20. Even though the schedule said "all ages," we were the only kids there. None of us won the emerald.

For lunch we went out onto the deck with everybody except for no parents. We went to Grand Pacific for dinner. Today I still did not make a perfect swirly on my ice cream but I have a whole week to go. ​

03/14/2012 At Cocoa Beach, I dug a very deep hole in the sand with 0072 and 0025. We all jumped over the waves, too. 0013, 0072, and his dad went the farthest, while 0025 was content to stay behind. I was in the middle. Later, the hole was still there, but would wash away at night, probably.

No perfect swirlies today! I didn't eat dinner. Was looking for Jeff Harms. 0072 and I wanted to buy his book, so we looked everywhere but couldn't find him. So, we watched his show again at 9:30. Will buy his book maybe tomorrow.

​ 03/15/2012 Great Stirrup Cay is NCL's private island. They bought it from the people in the Bahamas – Bahamians, I think. We were at the beach the whole day. 0025 and I dug a very deep hole with a large wall to keep the tide from washing it away. At the end, when everybody had to leave, I could stand in the hole. It was so tall – or low, should I say – that it went up to half of me.

At night, we all went to a new restaurant, called Magenta. The food was great. Well, actually, almost like Grand Pacific but with better quality service. The food came faster. After dinner, we (0072, 0089, 0013, and I) entered the Family Friendly Feud contest. We lost, 2 to 3. But all the questions, I think they did it on purpose. All of them were really old shows. ​

03/16/2012 Everything was sold out except for some kind of aquarium tour, and we spent like FOREVER in the smoke-filled casino because the queue to buy the tickets was smack in the middle. And everyone – well, almost everyone – was breathing the air like it WASN'T contaminated.

When we finally (FINALLY!) got on the taxi, the driver took us on a tour throughout Nassau. Nassau is actually one of the smallest islands, but everyone goes there because there are the most resorts, fun places to go, and whatnot.

Made a perfect swirly on the soft-serve ice cream. ​

03/17/2012 In the morning, 0089, 0013, and I wanted to walk a mile for OSA (Onboard Staff Activities) points, but it was at 8:00 am and 0089 woke up too late. 0025, 0089, and I also missed OSA morning trivia because we were eating breakfast. For OSA Ping-Pong, 0090 tagged along. 0072 was sick and in bed. I really didn't play much, so the cruise staff guy just gave me one point. Earned 4 points at OSA Eddie Spaghetti's Crazy Dance Class.

At Know Your Nickelodeon Trivia (not OSA), our team name was Blue Tomatoes Without Skins. It was organized by Nickelodeon. We got 15/20 correct. Later, we went to visit 0072 and he knew all the answers. We could have won. The winning team only got 17 correct. So if 0072 was there, then we could've been awarded a pie. For OSA Progressive Trivia #2, 0072 ate medicine, got better, and helped get us 11/20. Better than Trivia #1, where we got 5/20. ​

03/18/2012 At OSA Walk-a-Mile, there was no staff, so we just walked a mile and didn't get any OSA points. We got 9/20 at St. Patrick's Day Morning Trivia. Pretty good. 2 points. For Goofy Golf, even though I missed the hole all 3 times, the staff gave me 3 points. I made a card for Dad at Arts & Crafts and got 2 points. The weather was bad so Ring Toss was cancelled, but the staff saw us and gave us each 5 points for coming. Nobody went to OSA Basketball except for 0089. It was kind of funny because out of all of us, he's the tall one, but on the basketball court, everyone was taller than him.

In total, I got 27 OSA points. Prize was NCL deck of cards and silver NCL pen. ​
