03/30/2017 Canada's Wonderland called me. I applied for park attendant, but they have me down in the food & beverage section? ​

04/01/2017 First job interview! Everyone was so friendly! The interview process took about 3 hours. I was nervous, but it was fun, especially the group interview. There were four tables, with four of us at each table. They gave us cards to write our names and draw three things about ourselves. We went around and introduced ourselves with the cards.

After that, each table did a puzzle together. There was a panel of people at the back observing us. Then, they gave us hypothetical customer scenarios to discuss what we would do. We had to present our answer to everyone, and my group picked me to speak. Back in the waiting room, they called my name, and I got the job! ​

​ 06/12/2017 Someone stole my wallet today. Or I guess it was yesterday, since it's 12:50 am right now. I walked to my locker and it was wide open, my bag was open, and my wallet was gone. I went to Security Post 2 and I told someone what happened. I called my parents and asked them to cancel my card.

I was thinking about the person who took my wallet. They didn't use my debit card, and there was only 50 cents inside, so they didn't really get anything. Before today, I didn't think anyone would do that. Now I know that there are people who would. Anyways, I'm glad I learned this now, because I don't have much to lose. ​

​ 08/03/2017 Stuff at Backlot happened and it was pretty interesting. The lady was super nice and we baked our burgers. Highlight of my time. ​

08/04/2017 I opened food truck. I like being at food truck alone because I can play music and make everything organized the way I like it. 0200 came in while "Backboard" was playing, and his reaction... Then a bunch of us got sent home. I'm typing this right now waiting for the bus, but I'm going to go home and play guitar. ​

During onboarding, the supervisor right behind me was talking about the Tyler and Vince concert. And 0315 was there. Makes me feel better about coming back. ​

04/21/2018 My stomach hurts and I'm listening to Injury Reserve right now. I went to Wonderland today and I mainly cleaned Thrill, Alpen, Timbers, and Med Funnel with 0320, 0321, and 0322. 0316 was the supervisor. I made souvenir cups for a while, then made hot dog boxes. And me and 0321 went on Xtreme Skyflyer.

0325 was there. And me and 0215 saw each other, but we both didn't realize it was the other person. 0319 had training, and 0317 and 0318 had their Starbucks dry run. I made the bad decision of getting a venti vanilla bean frappe and drinking it too fast. And then I just question, why do I still work here? I feel like I'm just going with everything and I'm not even there.

I don't know how this season is going to go, or if I want to stay. I'm confused. Wonderland is honestly kind of like the high school experience I never had. Maybe that's why I feel like staying sometimes. I feel like I'm writing over, no, more like walking over my time here last season. I'm being pushed, then at some point I stop getting pushed, but I just keep going, and I can't decide if I want to stop or keep going, so I just let time happen and carry me along. ​

05/04/2018 It usually takes me 40 minutes to get to Wonderland, but today it took me two hours, because the bus was late. ​

06/02/2018 Today during our lunch rush, it was really busy and we were running out of burgers. We resorted to using a different type of beef burger, that had higher fat content and produced more blood on the grill. This caused more grease fires and smoke. Our ventilation system couldn't handle it, and associates' eyes started watering. Then, the fire alarm went off, and all persons indoors evacuated the building.

We were closed for about an hour, and guests who didn't receive their food were refunded. When we re-opened, we cleaned the grill, and cooked burgers at a lower temperature. I think another factor is that we switched grills about a month ago. We used to have a platen infrared grill, and now we have an open flame gas grill, which you can cook more burgers on, but emits more cooking vapours. We've already been experiencing grease buildup in the drainage pipe and hood filter, especially during the closing wash cycle. ​

Too many line cooks asking for more hours. Some always show up. They need to be trained, but if they get sent home I can't always be there to train them. Others don't always show up. ​
